Salary
UNDER REVIEW: Classification 8, $25.97 – 26.77 per hour, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees are provided an additional 2% on regular earnings in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay, for all regular hours worked. The period between Christmas and New Year’s Day is unpaid time off.
Description
Under the direction of the Director of International Education, the International Education (IE) Administration Support Clerk will provide front line client services, along with clerical and administrative support for the International Education Department.
This role will serve as the point of initial contact for services that pertain to the Student Success Hub, referring students to other supports within the Hub. The clerk will manage the agendas and minutes for meetings within the department and will develop and track multiple deadlines as required.
As the IE Administration Support Clerk, you will assist members of the team with events being hosted or sponsored and support any on-campus tours and events where needed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have their grade 12 diploma with completion of a post-secondary program in office administration, and a minimum of two years of administrative office experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
You must be customer service oriented with an emphasis on excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work independently and as a team member.
There is a requirement to have intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (word, excel and outlook). The selection process will include completion of a clerical test.
A current and valid driver’s license is required of this role, as travel may be necessary throughout the region.
