Position Summary:

As the HR Intern, you can get on track and aim high with MBFS! The HR Intern will provide support services to the department including but not limited to, developing HR initiatives to support company-wide goals, providing suitable recommendations to improve HR policies, and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the HR & Administrative Services team with daily administrative activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, Recruiting & Selection, Training & Development, Onboarding, Payroll & Time Reporting, Accounts Payable, Programs and Policy development, and Benefits.
• Research, design, and develop creative solutions and/or recommendations to support personal, departmental, and company-wide goals.
• Assist the HR & Administrative Services team in the creation of program materials, employee communications, updating the HR Social intranet and other creative endeavors.
• Assist the Office of the President in company initiatives, event coordination with facilities and external vendor representatives.
• Responsible for completing administrative duties as required, such as photocopying, data entry, filing, updating employee and recruitment files while maintaining confidentiality.
• Work with other departments on HR requests and complete ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Pursuing undergraduate degree or post-secondary education in Business or Human Resources Management.
• Familiar with current HR laws and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Driven and motivated by a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn and be challenged by continuous professional development.
• Able to use active listening skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills to achieve results.
• Thrive on cooperation and collaboration within a team as an enthusiastic individual contributor.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift items up to 20lbs.
