Linen Chest is a leading retailer of home fashion and décor items. We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant at Linen Chest, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and reports of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
As an integral member of the team, you will contribute to the overall growth of the company by providing insights and recommendations to management based on financial data analysis. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage all financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against company goals and provide insights to management
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance with legal and accounting regulations
- Implement and manage accounting systems and software to increase efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
- CPA designation preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
