Are you an interior designer or passionate draftsman? If so, we have an opportunity for you here at Browns!
In your position as an Assistant Designer, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing new store plans, layouts, as well as interior design details. You will be collaborating closely with our main designer and construction team – working full-time from our Head Office.
Your ideas and design expertise will be integral in the realization of our beautiful new stores across Canada!

What You’ll Do:
- Generate AutoCAD surveys from on-site measurements
- Coordinate 3D development with illustrator
- Complete all appendix pages with the quantity applied to the project and coordinate with the contracting manager
- Preparation of issue documents, PDF from AutoCAD drawings
- Revised series of drawings after submission of permit, tender and final approval of construction, addendum, and ‘’as built’’ package
- AutoCAD production of all additional details being processed for our Project Manger
- Verification of all shop drawings
- Collaboration on the production of all new details and eventual coordination with 3D artists
- Prepare a series of drawings post layout, storefront and reflected ceiling completion, from an example store to refer on
Requirements
- Certified Interior Designer / or Technical Draftsman
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Able to multi-task on design projects that require both conceptual and functional thinking
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Vehicle required
