Job Description
As a key member of the Production Control Department, the Receiving Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all products received to Mitsui are properly recorded in all programs required and are inspected for quality upon arrival. The Receiver will work with the Logistics Coordinator and Production Planner to ensure production is planned for maximum success, orders are fulfilled, and transportation cycles are established to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities
Receive products, ensuring quality and coordinate deliveries.
Facilitate the shipping of products utilizing EDI, SAP, MRP systems and customer portals as required
Prepare loads for shipments, ensure they meet customer requirements for labelling and truck packaging
Manage activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
Continually review freight costs, transportation fees, and/or the process of raw material to keep costs down, when possible
Streamline shipping and transportation processes
Maintain 5S
Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demands for all customers
Address production issues aiming for minimal disruption
Prepare shipping and receiving documentation
Communication with vendors as required
Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts as required
Team member training in related jobs and use of machinery
Qualifications
2-3 Years proven experience as a receiver or similar role
Knowledge of manufacturing shipping/receiving procedures
Strong knowledge of MS applications
Outstanding task management, organization skills, problem solving, multi-tasking, attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wider range of office/plant team members, management, senior executives and external parties
Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Intuitive, able to anticipate needs and respond with a sense of urgency
