My client is a growing manufacturing operation, seeking an Accounting Manager to be based out of their office in Guelph.

Your new role

The Accounting Manager will be responsible managing a team. The Accounting Manager works on the development and implementation of internal controls and ensures the segregation of duties. The Accounting Manager ensures compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act and other statutory bodies and ensures preparation and filing of government reporting. The Accounting Manager will manage a team of direct reports responsible for all month end accounting aspects, as required for the month end reporting.

What you’ll need to succeed

You will have strong ERP system experience, able to work with the IT group to resolve issues. You will hold a completed CPA designation combined with 5-10+ years in a related position with 3+ years in a people management role. Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred or from an environment where you have accounted for inventory. You will have the ability to build relationships at all levels within an organization with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a broad range of accounting areas is required such as accounts payable, cash flow forecasting, fixed assets, inventory and a willingness to be hands on as well as able to develop an experienced team to the next level.
