Pay: $21/hr (extra $1 if you have forklift RR and CB)
Shift: Mon to Thursday POD Operator (high speed vertical fill packaging) 10hr shifts
6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours)
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the setup and maintenance of the production machine to ensure efficiency, quality and safety ‘best practices’, including HACCP
Observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions
Work with the maintenance team to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
Set up and change product materials in a quick, efficient manner
Ensure packaging specifications meet company standards
Complete production paperwork
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Initiate continuous improvement whenever possible
Promote sustainability in all applicable areas
Report food safety problems and or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actions
Responsible for GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety and quality, and being aware of SQF System Program
Requirements
High school diploma
Ability to lift or move up to 30 lbs
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and orders
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
