ML6 Search + Talent Advisory Looking for Construction Scheduler at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Full Time

The Opportunity:

ML6 Search + Talent is excited to partner with a top national Civil / ICI construction company to source a Scheduler for a newly created opportunity in Victoria, B.C..

The Scheduler is responsible for the development of baseline, master, and detailed schedules. They will oversee all scheduling activities and provides project status updates, forecasts, and progress reports.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop and maintain consistent and realistic schedules for projects.
• Develop the activities, logic, resource loading and progress to provide a fully integrated project schedule, leading to the creation of the baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance throughout all phases of projects (submittals, approvals, procurement, construction, testing, start-up, and commissioning).
• Develop cash flows and resource loaded schedules, based on project estimates and master schedule.
• Interface/maintain liaison with project management, owner, subcontractors, etc. on all planning and scheduling related items and functions including reporting requirements, progress status, new impacts, etc.
• Support the Project Management Team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures, and systems.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

• A minimum of 5 years of previous scheduling experience either in a role as a Scheduler, Site Superintendent, Project Coordinator, or Project Manager.
• Several years’ experience with ICI construction.
• A Degree in Project/Construction Management or Engineering, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling software and core standards including advanced use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• A comprehensive understanding of construction logic, procurement sequences, fabrication shop load requirements and construction techniques.
• Previous construction experience on ICI/Buildings projects.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Professional and team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail, organization and managing multiple priorities to meet defined deadlines and targets.
