Position Overview
This role is actively involved in recruiting, onboarding, training, learning and development, administering extended healthcare benefits, occupational health & safety and responding to internal requests, all in support of Vantage Living’s Vibrant Advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
Manages the recruitment, selection and hiring processes including drafting, posting, screening and oversight of the interview process. Conducts reference checks and produces offer letters according to established best practice procedures.
Conducts exit interview with all management and corporate staff to identify any culture or management/leadership/compensation issues that may impact other current or new employees in an effort to reduce undesirable turnover.
Identifies, recommends, and updates best practices for employee retention & performance management; implements approved practices and provides directions and training to assist managers with effective execution.
Supports site management with administration of performance management processes including instruction and tracking.
Ensures all managers and staff are familiar with and abiding by corporate HR policy; provides instruction and interpretation as required.
Assists managers with conflict resolution, employee relations and embracing/demonstrating Vibrant Advantage Culture.
Assists Chief Executive Officer with interpretation and implementation of the collective bargaining agreement at all sites, including documenting grievances, responding to grievances and resolving grievances.
Administer Claims management program and Return to Work processes Administer Health and Wellness benefit program.
Monitor site staff satisfaction levels and ensure ongoing improvement to facilitate productivity retention and high morale.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong technology skills including with social media, PowerPoint, Adobe and MS Office;
Experience with leading full-cycle recruitment;
Develops strong relationships to develop trust and confidence with colleagues;
Demonstrated problem-solving and project management abilities – excellent judgement in all areas of Human Resources and general business;
Discretion at all times, in the management of confidential information;
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Generalist human resources role;
Completion of a minimum two-year post-secondary program in human resources or a related discipline;
CPHR designation an asset;
Must be professional, organized, detail oriented and possess excellent judgement, decision-making and relationship building ability along with excellent verbal, written and business presentation skills.
