Due to growth, we are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to join our TGA General Contracting and Restoration Ltd. team and work under the direction of the Vice President, Construction. The key responsibilities of the Site Supervisor include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide site supervision and management of construction projects as assigned
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the construction process, including scheduling, subcontractor management, and material procurement
  • Supervise and evaluate staff
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents throughout the construction process
  • Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, project specifications, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect the progress of work, identify and address any issues or challenges, and ensure project milestones are achieved.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory/managerial role in construction
  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in residential and commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate on-site teams
  • Sound understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and coordination
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Efficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office) and construction management software
  • Work well under pressure and tight timelines
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the GTA as required
