About the opportunity:
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for the implementation, training and development of field sales technology to provide the field with relevant, timely, customer insights required to grow sales.
The attributes we are looking for:
· Lead the development, deployment and enhancements of field sales software, leveraging technical support from the IT department, vendors and guidance from the customer sales, Centre of Excellence (COE) and divisional departments.
· Develop and maintain dashboards with relevant metrics for Sales team and Management. Create and maintain data models and relationships in Power BI to ensure data consistency across reports and dashboards.
· Ensure all field sales employees are trained on the tools, software and the reporting capabilities of the systems (including onboarding of new users). Ensure all procedures are documented and communicated to ensure consistent application of tools.
· Be the central point of contact for the field sales team’s technical questions and ensure challenges are resolved within a timely manner in conjunction with internal and external resources.
· Using data insights from field sales technology, identify business opportunities and present them to the leadership of Field Sales. Define any enhancements required to system(s) to gather better information and translate them into Power BI solutions. Guide the team (IT, vendor, field sales) on overall implementation and execution.
· Monitor data quality and implement actions to address data issues and improve overall data quality, including improvements to current processes, with a focus on increased efficiencies and enhanced analytics.
· Lead reporting enhancement workshops utilizing business intelligence expertise to design high-quality metrics and best-in-class reporting capabilities.
· Provide support on variety of integration and other business projects central to improving internal processes.
· Monitor emerging trends in field sales technology to assist in the development of enhancements to technology.
What you will bring:
· University degree in Data Science or Business or Information Technology
· Minimum five (5) years in data & sales management
· Relevant experience in Process management
· Relevant experience in Change management
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex data sets using various analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision-making.
· Demonstrate expert knowledge of all data sources and data lineage for the reporting data mart(s) with a strong understanding of how these data sources are utilized for reporting purposes.
· Advance skills with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office products, SAP, Power BI, Qlik, POS data and AC Nielsen
· Ability to lead, train, and develop people.
· Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands.
· Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
