Avanade Inc. Looking for Learning and Development Director at Ontario Full Time

We are looking for a learning professional who can lead our learning and development team and drive our learning strategy and initiatives, specifically for the Advisory, Avanade X, Industry and iGTM business areas. As a learning director, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality and impactful learning strategies and solutions that align with our business goals and values. You will also be responsible for measuring and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of our learning programs and interventions. You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization to understand their learning needs and provide them with strategic guidance and support. You will also foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team and the organization.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills:

• Experience in designing, developing, and delivering various types of learning solutions, such as e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, microlearning, gamification, etc.
• Experience in using various learning technologies and platforms, such as learning management systems, authoring tools, video production tools, etc.
• Experience in applying adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning evaluation methods
• Experience in conducting learning needs analysis, gap analysis, and stakeholder analysis
• Experience in managing learning projects and budgets
• Experience in leading and developing a team of learning professionals
• Experience in managing a high performing team: Ability to set clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback and coaching, recognize and reward achievements, resolve conflicts, and promote collaboration and diversity within the team
• Data-driven: Ability to use data and analytics to measure and improve the quality and impact of learning solutions
• Agile: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities and deliver learning solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Learner-centric: Ability to design learning solutions that are engaging, relevant, and personalized for the learners
• Strategic thinking: Ability to align learning solutions with business goals and values and communicate the value proposition of learning to senior leaders and stakeholders
• Trusted advisor: Ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders and stakeholders and provide them with strategic guidance and support on learning matters
• Focus on value to the business: Ability to demonstrate the return on investment (ROI) and return on expectation (ROE) of learning solutions to senior leaders and stakeholders
• Tech savvy: Ability to leverage emerging technologies and trends to enhance the learning experience and outcomes

Qualifications:

• You likely have a bachelor’s degree or higher in education, instructional design, human resources, or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience
• At least 10 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in a leadership role
• 3+ years of management experience
• Microsoft Office skills: Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Visio
