Are you looking for a position near Dorval? Our client, a well-established company in the aerospace industry, is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist!

The HSE Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate daily, weekly and monthly KPIs for presentation to on-site management teams and corporate reporting systems. The HSE Specialist supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all company safety program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.What they offer:- Salary up to $70K

– Ability to analyze accident data, new processes and machinery for potential safety issues, and conduct job hazard and safety analyses
– Experience in case management in the workplace
– Experience in the manufacturing industry such as aerospace, plastics, metal manufacturing
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to Health and Safety preferred
– Environmental experience, an asset

Responsibilities:

– Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and opportunities for improvement through daily, weekly and monthly audits
– Facilitate the incident investigation process
– Maintain documentation required to comply with company and OHS regulations
– Enter job security incident information into internal database in a timely manner
– Conduct safety observations and audits
– Train and assist others (area managers, safety team members, etc.) in fulfilling their safety responsibilities (audits, safety compliance, etc.)
– Carry out specific safety training as required by the HSE Manager
– Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion
