The Chemistry Laboratory Engineer Trainee is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable Product and Service Delivery (PSD) and identify opportunities to improve service delivery. This person will apply the appropriate fluid design and identifies opportunities to introduce new technology solutions and applications. Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.
Monitor the operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
Assist the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions with technical support as required.
Perform a Risk Analysis before each task/job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
Maintain the required safety training.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry from an accredited university.
Graduated in the last three years – This is an Early Career Program and will follow a fixed step training program.
Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
Excellent computer skills.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
