Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assurance Manager to join our team. The Assurance Manager will play a key role in overseeing the assurance engagements for our clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the success of our clients and the firm.
Responsibilities:
Client Engagement Management:
Lead and manage assurance engagements, including planning, execution, and completion.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for assurance-related matters.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and firm policies.
Review financial statements, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor staff members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
Technical Expertise:
Stay current on industry trends, accounting principles, and regulatory changes.
Provide technical guidance to team members and clients on complex accounting and assurance issues.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential risks associated with assurance engagements.
Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification required.
5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting with a focus on assurance services.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff.
