Job Summary
The Human Resources Consultant addresses the Human Resources clients needs in Canada, supporting the Senior Human Resources Consultant, by providing services that include staffing, employee orientation, administration, training, employee relations, policy administration and implementation of key human resources initiatives that support the needs of the business. The Human Resource Consultant assists in the development of human resource policies, and actively participates in key human resources initiatives and human resources projects
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the complete cycle of recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviews, initiating background checks, offers of employment and partners with the business to ensure a cohesive onboarding experience. Analyze data and propose strategies to enhance the efficacy of the recruitment process.
Guide, provide coaching to, and participate with managers to facilitate performance, policy, disciplinary and other issues with employees. Monitor performance improvement plans and take actions to protect the interest of employees and the Company in accordance with Company policies and governmental laws and regulations.
Responsible for generating and updating all HR specific reports (workforce planning, recruitment statistics, Diversity, compensation related analytics, training, etc). Creating and Maintaining employee records.
Undertake projects that contribute to the building of human resources within the organization. Take an active role for the successful and timely completion of human resource related projects and priorities, as allocated.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business-related area
Experience
4 years prior professional Human Resources experience (Coordinator, Recruiter)
Required Skills
Fluently bilingual in French/English: written, spoken
HR data literacy
Advanced Excel proficiency
Advanced PowerPoint proficiency
Microsoft Office
Decision making skills
Knowledge of provincial labor standards laws
