About the opportunity:
The incumbent works closely with their assigned customer team to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial goals. They prepare analysis, reports and presentations to help unlock sustainable, profitable growth in partnership with the sales team.
The attributes we are looking for:
· Preparation of the monthly reporting package comparing actual results against budgets, previous year, and forecasts. Provide variance analysis to explain differences in performance
· Organize and animate the monthly business review with Customer teams. Prepare analysis on Brand, Customer and Regional profitability to analyze with Sales teams to identify trends, issues, and opportunities
· Coordinate and drive the creation and execution of action plan initiatives and Risk & Opportunities to the budget / forecast
· Review volume, pricing, and trade variances to budget monthly with Sales & Trade Marketing team to identify issues and ensure accuracy of financial results.
· Actively manages trade spending and balances with account team
· Prepares and reviews monthly/quarterly trade scrubs to support Net Sales rate delivery to target
· Develop and maintain financial controls to ensure visibility and accuracy of the monthly trade spend forecast
· Work with Sales Team leads to build their annual budgets, monthly rolling forecasts, and LTP
· Steward the timeline for month end process / budget process and longue term plan.
· Monitor performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting trends, analyzing causes of unexpected variance, and identifying risks/opportunities
· Utilizing BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance. Support KPIs analyses vs the budget and previous year.
· Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
· Preparing business cases to support new customer investment, new business opportunities, and customer strategy changes.
· Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
· Support the sales price increase cycle and control the execution.
· Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies
What you will bring:
· MBA or bachelor’s degree in finance or bachelor’s degree in food engineering
· minimum 5 years of FP&A position or equivalent
· CPA is an asset.
· Detail-oriented
· Good at managing internal and external stakeholders.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
· Enjoys using Excel and PowerPoint
· High attention to detail
· Ability to solve complex problems.
· High level of commercial acumen.
· Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
· Proficient with SAP BW environment is an asset.
