What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
- Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving discrepancies, and issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum one year of experience in an accounts payable environment
- Ability to work under pressure and adjust to urgent situations
- Excellent computer and business organization software proficiency
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with disciplined work habits
