Responsibilities –

• Acquiring and negotiating supplier contracts for production items based on assigned programs and commodities, including market testing.
• Maintaining daily communication (written and verbal) with suppliers to meet organizational objectives.
• Adapting to manage after-hours conference calls or travel to offsite supplier locations as necessary.
• Issuing all relevant Purchase Orders and Amendments.
• Minimizing and validating supplier obsolescence claims with supporting documentation.
• Monitoring and securing cost savings and productivity participation rebates from production suppliers.
• Issuing Supplier debit and credit notes as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling and inventory control, with the ability to review and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with CMI software or other ERP systems.
• Technical background in quality, process, engineering, and program management.
