Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing structure around strategy execution by creating processes and tools that link initiatives to strategy and monitor progress. Ensures processes are in place so that the strategy review, operational planning and budget cycles are aligned. Evaluates operational activities using data driven measurement tools to drive accountability within the organization. Provides environmental scan of health care system trends as a key input into strategy review (i.e., PESTLE analysis)

How You Will Make a Difference

• Leading the enterprise annual operating plan process and support the design, execution and sustainability of the OMA’s strategic directions. Stewarding the implementation of the strategic plan and ensure that strategic priorities are integrated into the operations of the organization.
• Driving visibility and transparency to strategy and transformational initiatives through working collaboratively with the departments to understand operating plan achievements.
• Leading development and reporting of operational metrics to establish baseline for improvement activities across OMA. Provide regular updates to Senior Management as needed.
• Leading environmental scan of factors impacting the healthcare sector to support ongoing strategy review with ongoing monitoring and understanding of political, environment, social, technological, legal and economic developments
• Maintaining the operability and function of the enterprise map to ensure visibility to critical organization meetings/activities to the organization.
• Establishing an organizational approach to innovation and continuous improvement that can be piloted and scaled over-time to meet the needs of the organization.
• Supporting the delivery of corporate objectives through project management, coordination, and cross functional collaboration

Requirements That Are Important To Us

• University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Six to nine years of relevant healthcare administration and public speaking experience, and political acuity.
• PMP Designation and/or Lean/Six Sigma and/or Design Thinking or equivalent process improvement/innovation expertise required
• Applied knowledge and experience in Ontario’s health care sector
• Key traits include highly developed communications, team player, change agent, strategic and creative, excellent project management skills and the ability to drive performance from all areas within their company.
• Experience with business partnering and business relationship management
• Ability to lead a team of cross functional resources through change and manage expectations of multiple teams
• Experience with Business Analysis procedures, documentation and requirements gathering techniques
• Experience in vendor management or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience and skills with people leadership, including ability to lead a diverse team through change and manage expectations.
• Strong strategic development, project management and interpersonal skills

The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office.
