What will you do as an Senior Financial Analyst?
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at our Burnaby head office. Working as part of our global Finance team and reporting to the Regional Controller – North America, the successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgets and forecasts and other aspects of financial analysis.
Typical duties, responsibilities and activities include:
Supports business decisions by providing analysis and modeling of various business options. This will involve constructing models, scenarios, alternatives evaluation and other techniques. In addition it will require aggregation, interpretation and analysis of relevant data from various sources including company’s information systems, key stakeholders and others
Drives the process of regular reporting such as preparation of financial reports from which reliable conclusions can be reached that will allow management to implement more effective operational strategies
Creates and delivers the company’s financial forecasting process and ensure alignment with accounting processes
Leads and facilitates the consolidated annual budgeting process by collaborating with key stakeholders and others, providing business insights to grow the business while understanding the opportunities and risks
Manages the monthly and quarterly presentations for Executive group, including analyzing key performance indicators and financial metrics
Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather relevant data and ensure alignment with overall business objectives
Identifies opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting processes
Works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
What do you need to be successful?
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
At least 4 years experience in financial planning and analysis
Strong understanding of full cycle accounting
Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Self-motivated, high attention to details, accuracy, and strong technical, interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Experience with a Tier 1 ERP and planning systems; Oracle Netsuite and Adaptive are an asset
Experience with Google Docs/Sheets are an asset.
BC/CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY | Salary Range: $85,600 – $107,000 – $121,980
Expected Salary: Our typical hiring range will be +/- 10% of the midpoint listed above. Factors influencing this decision include qualifications and market conditions for the role.
