Job Title: Talent Acquisition Associate

Location: Ontario – Remote

Job Description:

This individual will play a key role in continuing to fill positions for our client companies with excellent candidates. This role would have a dual focus on recruitment and business development with the primary geographic territory being Eastern Canada. Candidates must be able to attend an in-person meeting/workday in the Greater Toronto Area every 2 weeks.

Recruitment Responsibilities:

• Managing the full-cycle recruitment process from interview to job offer/negotiations.
• Employ progressive sourcing methodologies to find top tier candidates using our in-house database along with external tools like Indeed and LinkedIn.
• Screen candidates’ resumes and job applications.
• Interview, assess, and present qualified candidates to the client based on job profiles.
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
• Provide excellent client/candidate experience and encourage repetitive business.
• Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
• Provide counsel on best practices and policies to ensure effective execution of recruitment strategies and initiatives.
• Responsible for executing and driving new and existing recruitment initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned.

Business Development Responsibilities:

• Connecting with prospective clients via cold calling, networking, advertising and referrals.
• Identifying and developing client/business relationships in a competitive environment.
• Managing the business development process through to deal closure.
• Maintaining market and commercial awareness through research and networking.
• Networking to build business information that can be converted into commercial opportunities.
• Managing correspondence with clients including facilitating the job offer process and negotiating salary packages.
• Assessing and responding to the needs of each client or assignment.
• Providing market knowledge and advice to employers.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Human Resources.
• 1-2 years’ experience in recruitment and selection. Previous experience with a recruitment agency in North America is preferred.
• Candidates must be able to attend an in-person meeting/workday in the Greater Toronto Area every 2 weeks.
• Resourceful and highly motivated to consistently meet and ideally exceed performance targets.
• Ability to build long-term and trusted business relationships.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple tasks at once while easily changing priorities when necessary.
• Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and Top Echelon’s Big Biller is strongly desired.
• Must be comfortable with direct sourcing, networking, and social media platforms.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Experience sourcing qualified candidates through a variety of platforms not limited to LinkedIn.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment, managing multiple openings and highly demanding client groups.
• Excellent command of the English language, spoken and written. Bilingual (French) would be an asset.
