Business Insights Analyst (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:
As a Business Insights Analyst, you will:
- Apply understanding of respective business strategies to produce relevant and substantial data analysis to support business goals and objectives
- The Business Insights Analyst will develop an analysis to illustrate business trends and identify areas of business opportunities
- Produce insights and recommend business actions to align with strategy and/or solve business problems
- Provide seasoned specialized knowledge, advice, and/or mentorship to various business and working partners
- Represent functional area as an analytics & insights professional and key resource; build positive and productive working partnerships
- The Business Insights Analyst acts as a bridge to translate business requirements to analytics and reporting needs for a given domain
- Work closely with business partners to gain a deep understanding of the business and relevant objectives in order to guide the strategic direction of the respective business and/or the enterprise
- Execute data requests accurately and within a timely manner and provide day-to-day support and delivery of analytics
- Work independently as the senior analyst/subject matter expert and may coach and educate others
- Considered an authority within a given area
- Oversee and/or independently perform tasks from end to end
- Build an understanding of cloud infrastructure and advanced analytics capabilities
- Act as a lead for the project team in providing guidance on both technical matters as well as the business context of the analytical problems. Work autonomously as well as acting as a lead within a specialized business management function and provide work direction to others
- Serve as an authority on a given business domain and provide business expertise to place context around analytics discovery and inform recommendations
- Ensure team collaboration with partners on business problems/issues and provide fact-based analytical advice that aligns with strategy and drives shareholder value
- Formulate relevant and significant data analysis through comprehensive data engineering and profiling tools
- Lead on the interpretation of complex business issues, generate multifaceted insights, and find opportunities to help effective risk management in the business
- Build insights solutions end to end (from initial demand to results/recommendation presentation) ranging in complexity.
MUST HAVE:
- 5+ Experience in business or financial reporting/business insights and analysis development, is knowledgeable and savvy with new technology and tools preferably within the global financial services and back-office operations
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- 5+ Hands-on experience in using business intelligence, analytics, and/or data visualization tools (ex: Tableau)
- 2+ Experience with Python, Databricks
- 5+ years SQL
- Strong team player who fosters and thrives in an environment of peer development and sharing
- Strong analytically-anchored problem-solving skills – a logical and strategic thinker with strong critical reasoning skills, proactively identifies risks and issues, recommends solutions, challenges the status quo
