Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our team (remote or hybrid). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, with expertise in print media, digital media, brand and web design. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Objectives of this role
- Work on various projects and media to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
- Ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and appropriately represent the company or client.
- Work independently and cooperatively to meet deadlines and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include simultaneous projects.
- Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize and Design:
- Create visually appealing designs for print materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, and other marketing collateral.
- Develop engaging digital designs for online platforms.
- Design and optimize website graphics to enhance user experience.
Brand Identity
- Brand and brand guidelines design.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across projects.
- Collaborate to maintain and evolve the brand identity.
Project Management
- Capable of working on design projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and maintain visual quality standards.
- Communicate effectively to understand design requirements and expectations.
Stay Updated
- Keep abreast of industry trends, design techniques, and tools to improve and innovate design output continually.
Software Proficiency
- Proficient in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and Figma.
- Stay updated on the latest design software and tools.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other team members to bring creative concepts to life.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in graphic design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
- Proficiency in both print and digital design.
- Excellent understanding of typography, colour theory, and design principles.
- Familiarity with web design principles and responsive and adaptive design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Desire to continue building a skill set with education and training.
- Knowledge of Webflow would be excellent, but it is optional.
