While the Human Resources Business Partner branch is part of the Public Service Commission, we operate under a shared services model. We are a driven team of ten HR professionals providing support to six, very different departments.These departments include, Public Service Commission (PSC), Executive Council Office (ECO), French Language Services Directorate (FLSD), Yukon Liquor Corporate (YLC), Lotteries Yukon, Yukon Development Corporate and Department of Finance
The opportunity…
The HRBP team has two managers. The manager position that we are recruiting for currently supports Yukon Liquor Corporation, Lotteries Yukon, Yukon Development Corporation, French Language Services Directorate and the Department of Finance.
This position leads and manages the full range of human resource management functions and services by providing ongoing guidance, support, and oversight to a team of human resource professionals. In addition, leads the management of complex staff relations matters, disability management/accommodation matters, and provides advice, support and guidance to departmental directors, managers, and supervisors. The position works collaboratively with the Director, HRBP on the development and implementation of human resources strategies, policies, protocols, and initiatives.
To be effective in this role, you are a strategic thinker, you understand and anticipate the needs and challenges of your departments and organization. You use data and information to inform decision making, and you develop and implement plans to align people and business strategy.
