About the job
The Business Development Manager is responsible for all customer sales, support and product training in their assigned territories. The BDM is also responsible for being the product specialist on all Grant Brothers Sales product lines as requested by management at the instruction of the senior leadership team. Training on all of the Grant Brothers Sales product lines is provided by the manufacturers directly.
This is a permanent / full time position which allows the BDM to work remotely from their own home office and visit clients’ throughout the Greater Vancouver Area & BC territory. Must be able to spend 80% of worktime traveling within the Greater Vancouver Area & BC Region servicing our customer base.
The new hire will report to Grant Brothers Sales’ Senior Vice President.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary contact for Grant Brothers Sales to automotive jobber clients within geographic area as assigned
- Inform jobbers / dealers of all essential Grant Brothers Sales programs, policies and new products designed by our manufacturers
- Handle all jobber / dealer issues and concerns, maintaining excellent customer service
- Train and work with jobber sales representatives & personnel as required
- Obtain current market information and trends, maintaining awareness of competition
- Establish BRAND awareness
- Prospect new business
- Assist all internal departments as necessary, working closely with other GBS team members
- Monitor territory performance
- Submit all reports as required, via Pipedrive CRM
- Attend & coordinate industry tradeshows as needed as well as customer events
- Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management
- Manage Warranty Adjustments, Credits, Trade Show Requests, Special Discount Requests, Product Testing, Sponsorships, and all paperwork follow up required per Grant Brothers Sales policy and procedures
- Required to plan and execute allocation of work time in the field with servicing jobbers/ dealers
- Plan, schedule and participate in customer events, product training, trade shows
- Responsible to manage sales for a specific geographic territory / sales calls
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Post Secondary Diploma / Degree recommended (not required)
- 5 years work experience in sales (automotive aftermarket would be helpful)
- Ability to travel
- Experience with Excel and CRM tools required
- Must currently reside in British Columbia and have a valid drivers license
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Superior interpersonal skills

- Self-starter with a strong independent work ethic
- Ability to use Microsoft office (TEAMS etc)
