ProModel Construction Inc. (ProModel) is a full-service construction contracting company, and was founded by three (3) young professionals with extensive engineering consulting and construction experience. Since 2023, ProModel has completed interior design and renovation, and exterior upgrade projects for public and private clients. At ProModel, we are passionate about Construction, focus on Services and our goal is to achieve infinite in Satisfaction (CSS).
Due to recent expansion, we are currently looking for a Site Superintendent to join the team. This position is part-time, with the potential to become a shareholder. I would like to encourage those that are also passionate about the construction and willing to invest in a prospective firm’s future to apply.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
- Daily supervision of all site operations, including management and inspection and maintenance of all regulated site safety policies and equipment;
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the construction process, including scheduling, subcontractor management, and material procurement;
- Ensure sub-trade performance and quality of work compliance with building codes, project specifications, contractual agreements, and the ProModel quality standards throughout the construction process;
- Participate in site meetings and host required site safety toolbox;
- Ensure overall safety on-site, including ensuring proper/required PPE are worn at the job site all the time;
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents throughout the construction process;
- Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders; and
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory/managerial role in construction;
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in residential and commercial construction projects;
- Solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques;
- Sound understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and coordination;
- Ability to read and interpret construction specifications, blueprints and drawings;
- Up to date safety training including: Working at Heights, WHMIS & First Aid, would be considered an asset, but not mandatory;
- Excellent communication skills; experience managing sub-trades and suppliers;
- Ability to make timely and rational decisions under pressure; and
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
- Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle for work is required.
