BRENRIC CONSTRUCTION LTD. is a family oriented, culture-focused construction management company serving the Greater Victoria, BC region since 1983. We’re looking for a Site Superintendent to join us!
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Arrive on site, have some coffee, connect with the trades as they arrive, answer incoming calls and field any questions.
Have a quick chat with the Project Manager– some workplace banter, a check-in regarding schedule or outstanding RFI’s.
Grab lunch! (We’re big on lunch at Brenric.)
Review work on site. You’re always monitoring accuracy and ensuring the site is prepared for what comes next.
Coffee break!
You might have an afternoon meeting, a site walkthrough or inspection.
Finish the day by connecting with the office to line up any support you need from the Brenric field team, double check your subtrade scheduling and coordination, and head home for the day!
SKILLS
You’re a solution-oriented, critical thinker with a strong sense of ownership and care.
Absolute wizardry with blueprint reading– very comfortable working off setting and elevation layouts.
Collaborative and optimistic in your approach to leadership.
Good computer literacy and adept in maintaining project documentation with experience in Outlook, Adobe or Bluebeam, Excel and cloud-based project management tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading and coordinating all on-site construction work.
Attending construction meetings.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Placing orders for materials and equipment and maintaining responsibility for equipment and materials on site.
Following the project timeline and maintaining scheduling accountability.
Maintaining all required documents of the job site including change orders, site instructions, RFI management etc.
Liaising with inspection authorities.
Execution of project closeout.

REQUIREMENTS
5-10 years of construction experience with a general contractor as a site supervisor for projects 5M+
Preferably a red seal carpenter
