Purpose

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our high performing team in Canada. This is a challenging role where you will partner with the business to provide an end-to-end recruitment and selection service. More importantly, you will use your strategic thinking and experience to monitor movements and trends across the sector to develop talent pipelines that enable us to respond to business needs quickly.

Your major responsibility will be to support the various locations in the Canadian business, sourcing key talent, partnering with all stakeholder groups to identify and engage the best talent for a broad range of opportunities across our service lines and coverage sectors. You will focus on building exceptional relationships with stakeholders and delivering proactive solutions to attract a diverse talent pool of candidates.

Responsibilities

• Building innovative sourcing strategies and identifying top talent within our industry and various sectors.
• Navigating end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced organization.
• Participating in vacancy briefings with business leaders to understand role requirements and discuss target talent pooling strategies.
• Business partnering and influencing the recruitment process.
• Maximizing strategic sourcing methodologies, internal and external networks, social media, talent pipelines and our extensive database to deliver high quality candidates.
• Conducting candidate interviews and making recommendations to hiring managers.
• Develop strategies to reduce time to fill and increase quality of hire.
• Being proactive in developing exceptional relationships throughout the business, based on professionalism and trust.
• Assist with our selection process requirements, mobilizations and onboarding.
• Drive direct hiring to reduce agency cost where possible.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives and deliver recruitment service to meet immediate, short and long-term staffing goals.

Technical And Industry Experience

• Recruitment experience with strategic and high-volume searches, preferably with experience in both corporate and agency environments.
• Prior experience recruiting technical roles (eg Engineers, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance etc) and/or within the resource and energy sectors will be highly regarded.
• Extensive experience with Applicant Tracking Systems; Taleo preferred.
• Knowledgeable with using LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing candidates and building talent pools.
• A passionate people person with exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage and influence others with strong customer service orientation.
• You need a strategic mind and the ability to contribute to thinking outside of the box in relation to future talent sourcing solutions.
• Delivering a responsive and consultative approach to managing the recruitment needs and experiences of Hiring Managers and Candidates.
• Resourceful, systematic and the ability to work under pressure with competing priorities with a variety of technologies and sourcing strategies concurrently.
• You must be able to develop a strong understanding of company culture and aspirations, and be willing to become a champion for company vision and values.
• A willingness to learn, develop and be a key contributor in a supportive team environment.
• Be a natural team player who is willing to support where required.
