Future Electronics Looking for Accounts Payable Clerk at Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada Full Time

Position Overview

Future Electronics is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented team player to join the Accounts Payable team that handles overhead payments for North America. Overhead disbursements include freight, branch/office expenses, legal, contracts, employee expenses, utilities, and more.

This position will have an initial focus reviewing freight expenses to ensure accurate billing and timely payments are made to suppliers. On a medium to longer term basis, the individual will also be involved in other portfolios such as process improvement initiatives and improvement our management reporting of payables.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and pay invoices (initial focus on transportation area)
• Generate cheque runs.
• Obtain credit from suppliers.
• Update banking information
• Review invoice details, including pricing discrepancies.
• Work with various departments and management personnel
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong knowledge of excel (with a curiosity to continuously learn more)
• Experience with all aspects of the accounts payable cycle
• Knowledge of Oracle is an asset.
• Experience in auditing expense reports is an asset.
