We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced accountant to join our client’s assurance practice in response to their practice’s growth. This position is based in Mississauga.
About the role:
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead our clients assurance team, collaborating closely with partners and senior members to manage prominent assurance engagements, review and compile engagements, and ensure tax compliance and filings. Additionally, the selected individual will showcase adeptness in both internal and external communication, and a proactive drive for fostering business growth with existing and prospective clients.
Some responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Execute high-quality audits and provide diverse services to middle market companies, not-for-profit entities, and governmental agencies.
- Supervise staff during pre-audit planning and fieldwork phases of engagements, while reviewing client accounting processes and operational methods.
- Foster and nurture strong client relationships, assuming the role of a reliable consultant and identifying prospects for supplementary services.
- Remain up-to-date with alterations in accounting standards, tax legislations, and regulatory mandates.
Requirements for this role:
- A preferred background encompassing 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Aptitude for functioning autonomously and as an integral part of a collaborative ensemble.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal aptitude.
