Your Role & How You Will Contribute

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services – Finance, this position has primary responsibility for billing, revenue accounting, and accounts receivable, in addition to key financial accounting, analytical and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Responsible for billing, revenue accounting, accounts receivable and maintenance of customer database
• Responsible for weekly collection calls in line with accounting procedure
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely billing of professional services and rechargeable expenses
• Review customer contracts for billing requirements and maintain client billing schedule
• Coordinate with production departments to obtain necessary information for invoicing
• Account for revenues in line with company revenue recognition policy
• Post deposits and clear open receivables
• Assist with accurate, efficient, and timely processing of accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices and payments, in compliance with company policies and internal controls
• Assist with accounts payable accruals and prepaids
• Record and reconcile transactions in accordance with accounting standards
• Assist with month-end and year-end close journal entries, reconciliations, and other analytical tasks
• Maintain accounting records in the company’s ERP system
• Assist as a backup for full-cycle general accounting, including preparing accounting entries for multiple business lines
• Assist with financial administration tasks such as filing and coordinating off-site storage of financial documents.
• Other duties as assigned including but not limited to ad-hoc projects across the Finance team

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
• 1-3 years of proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Actively pursuing a CPA certification preferred but is not a strict requirement
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting softwares
