Position’s Department: Logistics
Position Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Dedicated to quality and the satisfaction of our customers, each Team Member will perform duties in accordance with industry specific regulations, Global Food Safety Initiative Standards, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Certification, Good Distribution Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Standards, performance expectations as well as Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Each Team Member is responsible to report on food safety, safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions.
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all logistics activities in operation. Responsibilities shall include the execution of all inbound and outbound materials transactions, organization of materials and shipments for interplant transfer or shipment to customers and support of the inventory control process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for the organization and storage of all inbound freight to the Storage or Production facility
· Prepare and ship all outbound materials and finished goods from either facility
· Work closely with Planning, Purchasing and Customer Service on planning/scheduling of Logistics services with Carriers
· Organization and allocation of logistics resources to meet the demands
· Ensure all warehouse employees are performing their duties in a safe and conscientious manner
· Scheduling warehouse associates shifts
· Ensure that all motor vehicles are operated in accordance with safe operating guidelines
· Manage pedestrian/vehicle safety program
· Ensure that all Operators licensing is kept current
· Ensure all motorized vehicles are maintained properly
· Investigate all incidents and determine root cause, identify corrective actions and ensure those corrective actions are completed
· Ensure all storage conditions for materials and finished goods are within expectations
· Make sure that all transportation conditions meet expectations
· Ensure that all logistics employees are properly trained in the tasks and recording of quality checks as well as monitored routinely for compliance
· Ensure all outbound finished goods are of acceptable visual quality to our customers and deficiencies are corrected and followed up on
· Ensure all inbound materials are of acceptable condition, document/verify all the deviations
· Support improvement initiatives throughout the operation
· Identify CI opportunities and through support of the CI Lead own the results
· Other job-related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
· Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or combination of education and related experience.
· Oral and written communication skills along with strong MS Office Skills
· 2+ years logistics experience in related field
· Strong sense of safety culture
· Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and professionalism when performing duties in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
