Rentco’s Tool Shed(a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd). is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for 60 years. Rentco’s Tool Shed employs 10 full-time employees and they provide the tools and equipment to complete home-owner repairs and maintenance. We are currently looking for a full-time Yard Hand/General Labourer based out of our Grande Prairie Tool Shed. As the Yard Hand, you are responsible for: Preparing and scheduling shipments as assigned Cleaning and organizing of shop and yard which includes driving and parking U-Haul trucks and trailers Overseeing the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries Performing routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order Washing and fueling equipment Testing equipment and showing customers how to operate equipment Inspecting returned equipment for damages Checking service requirements and initiating work orders on equipment as required Traveling to customer sites to set up and take down event tents, dance floors, etc. Traveling to customer sites to install Christmas lights
You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: General knowledge of homeowner equipment Mechanical experience is an asset Hardworking team player Customer service skills Valid Class 5 driver’s licence Ability to work overtime and weekends when required Ability to lift heavy objects Ability to work at extended heights from man-lifts and ladders Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to always wear PPE including steel-toed boots and safety glasses Rentco Equipment offers you: Competitive wages Comprehensive benefits RRSP/DPSP program Stable, year-round employment with great hours (Monday to Friday and a weekend rotation) Employee discount and free rentals Promote from within policy Powered by JazzHR
