Ontario Northland Looking for Express Freight Labourer – Summer Student at Moosonee, Ontario, Canada Full Time

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interior and exterior maintenance associated with the general appearance of the Yard Office and Express Freight.
• Heavy janitorial cleaning, raking leaves, ground /building maintenance, sweeping sidewalks, /warehouse interior, cleaning company vehicle, and occasional painting, etc.
• Loads and unloads customers baggage in designated baggage/line cars and baggage kiosks
• Perform warehouse duties, ensuring local freight is placed for delivery and transship freight is placed in correct outbound cars.
• Will assist in the securement of customer vehicles onto designated flatcars in accordance with company policies & procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Management
• Summer term: May to September

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered for school in the Fall of 2024 and provide proof of attendance for the 2024-2025 school year
• Must be committed to Company Health and Safety
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
• Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and strong work ethic
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Previous cleaning/labor experience an asset
• Ability to work shift work and weekends
