THE CHALLENGE

Our agency in Toronto is looking for a Business Manager to join its fast-growing market. We’re offering you the chance to join a consulting firm with expertise in project management, where you’ll approach and manage your customers, build your team and manage your profit center.

Your objective is to build networks, develop business and create long-term relationships with customers, candidates and consultants.

As a Business Manager, you will steer 3 essential elements of the organization:

  • Business Development: you identify growth opportunities for your business unit, manage your scope by developing relationships with key account customers, and conclude the sale of project management services.

  • Recruitment and Management: you recruit (in collaboration with recruitment managers), support and develop your team of consultants specializing in project management. As a true leader, you ensure that assignments run smoothly, identify the potential of your teams and follow them throughout their career (coaching, interviews, career management, etc.).

  • Profit Center Management: you ensure that your business unit achieves its sales and profitability targets, while guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • You have a higher education qualification (Bachelor, DESS, Master) from an engineering or business school, and at least two years’ successful technical or commercial experience.
  • You are interested in the different sectors and challenges facing industry today, and ideally you have discovered Project Management during one of your previous experiences.
  • You are fluent in English and French (ideally), enabling you to communicate and lead meetings.
  • Your success in this position will be based on your business approach and results, combined with your rigor and your willingness to lead and federate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Your ability to establish and maintain relationships based on trust will also be essential to your success.
