Job Description We are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker for our client located in Toronto. The client is in the Millwork shop and Construction business.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret architectural drawings and blueprints to fabricate and install custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects.
- Utilize woodworking tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components with precision.
- Install cabinetry, trim, and millwork on-site, ensuring proper fit and alignment according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with contractors, designers, and project managers to coordinate cabinet installations and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to always maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address any questions or concerns related to cabinetry installation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and job site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the installation process.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Cabinet Maker, with a focus on construction projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Strong woodworking skills and knowledge of cabinetry fabrication techniques.
- Experience with a variety of woodworking tools and machinery.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Location: Toronto
Shift: 8 am to 5 pm (Mon – Fri)
Pay Rate: $19/hr. to $25/hr. (depending upon experience)
