Position Summary
The primary function of this position will be responsible for creating purchase orders for services, managing MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), coordinating non inventory purchases, and overseeing service contracts.
Essential Functions
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Assist in creating purchase orders for services and maintaining accurate records
Create and maintain purchase orders for outside services that support production requirements
Coordinate non-inventory purchases by assisting with vendor selection and order placement
Aid in the management of service contracts by tracking deadlines, contract renewals and performance metrics
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
Manage vendors’ performance and resolve any issues
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all supplier partners
Assist in monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues or concerns
Work cross functionally to support MRO requirements
Provide excellent internal customer service by responding to inquires and requests in a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
EDUCATION
Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline (materials management, supply chain management or business)
Industry Certifications considered an asset (CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP, CCLP, etc.)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good problem analysis and resolution skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
The ability to multitask and to prioritize those tasks
A strong team-player with experience working in cross-functional teams
Basic level skills required in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Regularly works in an office setting.
Frequently required to stand, sit, talk, and hear
Must be able to work in front of a computer for a large portion of the day
