Area Of Responsibility
Responsible for the smooth operation of the corporations’ end point management and client systems, client operating systems including image creation and deployment, application deployments, vpn technologies, as well as other end user technologies both on premises and in the Cloud, to enable the City to operate efficiently. The Network Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the end point operation, including contributing to the selection of new technology as well as leading upgrades, modifications, monitoring, and enhancements of existing systems. The Network Administrator will participate in proactive monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting, and make recommendations on improvements to those systems and devices. The Network Administrator will contribute in the patching lifecycle in order to maintain up to date and supported end point devices and applications. The Network Administrator will author and maintain documentation of these systems including End User Documentation, standard operating procedures, and pictorial diagrams. The Administrator should be versed in scripting, risk recognition and mitigation, as well as industry standard change management procedures to ensure the City’s end point management and user environments remain modern, stable, available, and cost effective .
