S.E.M. Construction Looking for Estimator at London, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Job Description: 

·       Create, develop & maintain effective relationships with sub-trades, suppliers & clients

·       Detailed review of drawings and specifications

·       Completion of detailed Quantity Take-Offs to assist in the bidding process

·       Engage in detailed project discussions with sub-trades & suppliers to solicit pricing as required

·       Review scopes of work to determine completeness of bids, and highlight potential areas of concern

·       Assemble total project cost estimates including general requirements, sub-trade pricing & self perform items

·       Engage with the management team to present estimates for projects during the tender process

·       Provide risk assessments on projects during the pre and post tender environment to ensure all stakeholders are aware of potential risks

·       Assist in database maintenance and tracking for past present and future data

Required Computer Skills 

·       MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) – Required 

·       Bluebeam (Revu) PDF Viewer – Viewed as an asset 

·       MS Project – Viewed as an asset 

·       Planswift (Digital Take-Off) – Viewed as an asset 

Qualifications

·       Diploma or degree in a construction in civil engineering or a construction related field

·       2-5 years (Co-Op experience considered in this range) 

·       Professional Communication skills

·       Passionate about construction & building of community

·       Critical thinker & detailed oriented
