Position Summary
We are seeking a Junior Drafting Technologist for a hybrid secondment position located in downtown Edmonton, assisting in the creation and modification of technical drawings and plans under the supervision of senior staff members.
Other responsibilities include:
- Re-drawing existing drawings in AutoCAD format.
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness in drawings, including dimensions and annotations.
- Conduct drafting checks of drawings at various stages of completion.
- Drafting electrical, instrumentation, and controls drawings under direction of engineers and designers.
- Understanding and adhering to company and/or Client CAD standards as required.
- Quality assurance checks and document control for all drawings produced.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Familiarity with AutoCAD & experience with MicroStation would be an asset.
- Acute attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to trouble-shoot CAD software problems.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members.
- Ability to ask questions, seek clarification, and convey information clearly and professionally.
- Capacity to listen actively and incorporate feedback into work processes.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness to share knowledge, offer assistance to colleagues, and contribute to the success of the team.
