Saskatoon Co-op invites applications for the NEW position of Technology Manager in the Finance Department at our Administration Building in Saskatoon, SK.
Reporting to the Director, Finance, responsibilities for this position include the following:
This new position is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of technology controls and programs for the entire Co-operative Association. The Technology Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with IT, POS and Security policies through educating and guiding the management team. Will also be responsible for analysis of all technology business and support the Director of Finance in future department growth and changes. The role also has these key responsibilities:
Planning & Budgeting
With support from the Director of Finance, establishes short term strategies, goals, and objectives in alignment with Saskatoon Coop’s Strategic Plan and Finance department scorecard on an annual basis, specific to overall Saskatoon Co-op technology solutions.
Technology Policies
Develop and implement organizational policies specific to organization’s technology and usage, network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure. This role is responsible to provide input into Policy creation and is to ensure company information and resources are protected, and to ensure compliance with privacy requirements.
Compliance and Analysis
Completes regular reviews and analysis of technology resources utilization, and develops strategies to optimize technology performance for the organization. Review, assess, and provide forward-looking analysis and recommendations to inform technology decision-making.
Technology Operations
Provide consistent and aligned approach for Saskatoon Co-op on technology needs, consistent with the CRS. This includes setup of IT/security access (such as DRT, retail and financial management reports, new locations), as well as hardware technology for Saskatoon Co-op. Works with vendors, and FCL to ensure technology needs are in place, or to address issues when they arise.
Internal & External Working Relationships
Develops and fosters strong working relationships with others across multiple internal departments to provide technology advice or solutions. Act as a business partner to Team Leaders, Senior Management, and Senior Leadership by providing relevant and actionable analysis and opinions on technology matters of the Association. Provides direction for and monitors analysis and performance of 3rd party Technology service providers.
Implementation of New Technology Solutions
Leads the planning, execution, and implementation of new software/technology to divisions where appropriate Leads the technology change process for retail locations. Monitors and analyzes the success of IT initiatives and projects, and continually develops and evaluates new technologies and tools for the organization. Manages development projects specific to integration of new technologies into existing systems.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s of Arts and Science with a major in Computer Science or a Bachelor’s of Commerce with a major in Finance or Accounting.
– .Minimum 5+ years of experience in technology services or finance/accounting. A minimum of 2+ years’ experience at a management level, with experience leading teams or projects, leading technology department(s) required.
– PMP Certification and Change Management experience is considered an asset.
