CoreFactor is searching for an IT Support Specialist on a contract basis for a client located in the west end of the GTA.
This is a hybrid position and will require the successful incumbent to come into the office 2-3 times a week.
This role is responsible for managing IT infrastructure, IT equipment, maintenance, and supporting the operation of the production organization. This position is a technical role and required hands on experience with:
- installation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrading, back up, and restoration of windows and data for servers and workstations
- Supporting team members with troubleshooting production issues.
- Supporting team members in configuration of various hardware.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Active Directory, windows 2016 – 2022 Server environment.
- Manage, monitor, support and optimize the network infrastructure.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the organization’s IT system and data.
- Maintain backups and disaster recovery systems.
- Manage and maintain virtual server Hyper-V.
- Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to provide seamless IT services.
- Working with other team members to support the production lab efficiency.
- Provide after-hours support in the event of an outage of critical systems.
- Provide after-hours support in the event of project-based work or deploys/maintenance to infrastructure.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware.
- Document all the development and integration activities.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ work experience in an IT administrator capacity.
- Experience working with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, Networking Infrastructure, Hyper-V Virtual machines.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment (i.e., Work in a dusty, hot, non-climate-controlled environment; with stairs, frequent walking, standing and
- occasional lifting of material).
- Must excel at working independently and in group settings.
- Must have an aptitude to multitask effectively with an energetic and enthusiastic can-do attitude.
- Nice to have Knowledge of using relational databases and SQL and programming language.
