We are currently looking to hire our start up team for The Vineyards Residence with Health Care Aides. Our starting wage range is from $25.00/hr for up to 2 years of experience, and $26.00/hr for 2 years or more experience

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $25.00 per hour- $26.00 per hour (years of service)

Experience:

• Working with Residents with Dementia/ Alzheimer’s (preferred)*
• Equivalent combination of Grade 12 graduation, plus graduation from Health Care Aide Program that is recognized, that has a dementia component included or other training and experience

License/Certification:

• BC Care Aid Registry in Good Standing (required)
• Criminal Record Check, working with Vulnerable Adults
• WHIMIS
• Mandatory Vaccination for COVID is required upon hire, as per PHO

Job Duties:

• Assisting with direct residents ADL’s
• Encouraging our residents to maintain as much as their independence as possible
• Assistance with dinging service and meal delivery
• Assistance with meals with residents needs to ensure adequate nutrition is met
• Complete required electronic documentation for accuracy of residents needs were met
• Provides companionship and always have engagement with residents throughout shift
• Performing clerical duties at times
• Demonstrating knowledge of safety for residents and team members
• Performs other related duties as assigned
