Overview:
As the high density multi-family Site Superintendent at Akers Property Solutions, you hold a pivotal position in the management and completion of construction projects, particularly the upcoming 5-storey multi-family building in the heart of downtown Campbell River. This project boasts multiple styles of suites and amenities. Your role encompasses overseeing scheduling, coordination, and supervision to guarantee the safe and timely delivery of all work, materials, and equipment essential for the successful development of multi-family properties.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee day-to-day construction activities on-site.
- Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with project specifications.
- Lead and motivate the construction team to achieve project goals.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Enforce and promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any concerns promptly.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship and material quality.
- Address and rectify any issues affecting project specifications.
- Coordinate and manage construction manpower and resources efficiently.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Report to Construction Manager on project progress and challenges.
- Update schedule regularly and Daily logs
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.
- Experience working on Multi Family residential builds.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, WCB safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Ability to read blueprints and plans.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Physically fit and able to complete tasks as required.
