MDK media is a digital publishing company, looking for a Full Stack Content Writer/Manager to publish articles in Digital marketing, SaaS, eCommerce and Make money online niche. If you can do the following you might just be the right candidate to apply.
— Proven writing experience in web content, live posts, etc (I’ll need a list of your published URLs)
— Proven content marketing experience
— Part-time (up to 20 hrs a week)
— Write 1-2 articles a week and edit 3-4 articles
— Subject Matter Expert (digital marketing, SaaS, eCommerce & Make money online)
— Solid ON page knowledge
— Writing and language expertise (competent level is good enough)
— Within the budget (0.025 a word)
— Upload to WordPress (if you’re interested, fixed price per article upload)
— Edit articles are written by other writers ($15 per hour)
If you go the extra mile without asking you can become a full-time staff member
Our desired candidate must/will:
— Be available to work up to 20 hrs a week
— Remotely managing a workflow of content
— Partially Manage a team of content writers underneath you
— Be instructed to utilize Slack and email for internal communication purposes, Monday.com or Asana for scheduling tasks
— Ability to use SurferSEO, Grammarly, & Hamingway Editor
— You will report directly to the Director of SEO to receive instructions for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
Duties in detail:
— Edit and proofread all the articles for structure, flow, AP style, grammar, assessing for plagiarism, SEO best practices & Target audience.
— Quality & Fact-check research and verify sources; give feedback to writers and request revisions as needed
— Review cohesiveness of content that has been delivered by content writers
— Clear and effective communicator with a “no fluff” writing style. You like to get the message across in a clear and concise way while keeping the end product (web page, blog post) in mind.
— On occasion, writing original content for clients and for our own internal use
— Proficient using SEO tools such as Surfer SEO, Grammarly & Hemingway Editor
— Effectively add internal links to old and newly published content on a monthly basis.
— Direct all content creation, creativity, and strategy – Recommend web copy solutions based on an understanding of the business, marketing & User experience.
— Develop and document requirements and efficiencies in current and future processes.
— Provide any other content-related assistance that may be required.
Requirements in detail:
— Understanding of SaaS, B2B & B2C marketing while ensuring respect of industry’s best practices.
— Knowledge of SEO best practices is MUST, as you will be responsible for ensuring that the content on-page SEO is optimized.
— Have exceptional copywriting, research, and editing skills
— University degree in Linguistic, Writing, Journalism, English, Communications, Advertising or equivalent; or a combination of education and experience.
— Writing skills, storytelling, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence.
— 3+ years of experience in digital content creation for online publications. You must know how web copy is written differently from university papers.
— Understanding of SEO guidelines, keyword research, and optimization in order to increase relevance.
— Comfortable working with Google Apps.
