3 Step Recruitment Inc. Looking for Accounts Payable Specialist at Brampton, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Our client in the transportation industry is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Accounting department.  This candidate will be reporting directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with vendors and suppliers by ensuring timely payments and fostering effective communication channels.
• Manage multiple vendor accounts while adhering to company policies and procedures to maintain compliance standards.
• Process regular requests and expense reports promptly and accurately.
• Conduct thorough review, coding, and processing of vendor invoices, ensuring precision in financial transactions.
• Perform data entry tasks associated with accounts payable to maintain accurate records.
• Address and reconcile any discrepancies in invoices in a timely manner to ensure financial accuracy.
• Audit and manage credit card bills in accordance with company guidelines.
• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries, resolving issues effectively and professionally.
• Facilitate cheque issuance, obtaining necessary signatures as required.
• Generate and distribute reports to relevant departments as needed to support decision-making processes.
• Proactively investigate and resolve any irregularities in outgoing payments, maintaining financial integrity.

Requirements:

• Possess 4-5 years of comprehensive experience in managing the full Accounts Payable Cycle.
• Ideally hold an Associate degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in v-lookups and pivot tables preferred.
• Familiarity with Karmak software is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exhibit excellent time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial transactions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of managing potentially challenging interactions with clients.
