Job Summary
The Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) is a defined benefit (DB) pension plan dedicated to providing a secure retirement income to over 450,000 members in Ontario’s healthcare sector. More than 650 employers across the province offer HOOPP to their employees. The Plan Operations Division is responsible for providing service to members and employers to deliver on HOOPP’s pension promise. HOOPP has upgraded its pension administration solution allowing us to evolve our service model from a transaction-based model to a high-touch, service-focused approach to help members throughout the journey from active employment to retirement and employers understand the value of the plan that they provide to their employees.
Reporting directly to the Head of Plan Services this position plays a crucial role in the organization, leading the team responsible for the proactive outreach to potential employers and potential members across Ontario. The Sr Director is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership in the development and execution of the strategies that support increasing membership and Employer growth in the Plan. The Sr Director is accountable for the business development function that will seek out additional employers in HOOPP’s traditional market, as well as support emerging new segments of the Ontario healthcare sector where HOOPP has minimal presence. Of equal importance will be proactive advocacy and marketing to part-time employees at existing Employers who have yet to join the Plan. The Sr Director is responsible for managing HOOPP’s relationship with prospective employers, unions, and other key stakeholders in the advancement of HOOPP’s reach and impact within the Ontario healthcare sector. The individual will work in partnership with colleagues in Plan Operations and aross the organization to collectively advance HOOPP’s growth and advocacy strategies.
