We’re looking for a Lab Technician to join our team at the University of Calgary, Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute!
The primary role of this position is to ensure the optimal operation of our spectral and flow cytometry machines located in Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for training users, maintaining equipment, managing the booking system, troubleshooting, and assisting with data analysis and sample preparation to support high-quality cancer research.
Our ideal candidate will have a BSc or MSc (preferred) in a science- or health-related field and related laboratory facility experience.
You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive work experience related to flow cytometry operation and data analysis.
Additionally, 3-5 years of progressive work experience in overall lab management and wet lab work is an asset. A combination of experience and skills will be considered.
