The Opportunity
Ensure the efficient delivery of building inspections including receiving and checking building permit applications, examining plans, approving permits for issuance and inspections on all types of construction to ensure building codes, life safety codes and City By-Laws are adhered to.

Assistance might be defined as: guidance/training received from superiors and senior inspectors in code interpretation, inspections, policies and procedures, report/notice writing, etc.

Qualifications
Education – High School Diploma. College Diploma in: Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Engineering Technology or equivalent and must be eligible for certification of a designation by The Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Newfoundland and Labrador (P. Tech., CET, AScT).

Monday – Friday
9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (6.75 hours per day)
Temporary Full Time until June 1, 2026
